The Cape and Islands Returning Peace Corps Volunteers is a group working to promote the Peace Corps in the communities of Cape Cod. This group group has been functioning since 2009, when Eric Ericson and a dozen returned Peace Corps volunteers spoke about their Peace Corps experiences at the Falmouth Public Library during Peace Corps week. The group has continued to meet, produce library displays and hold various functions, including an information table at the Multi-Cultural Festival at the Cape Cod Community College and have also placed a commemorative marker honoring Peace Corps Volunteers at the JFK Legacy Trail in Hyannis, Ma.
This website, newly formed in 2013, serves to inform returned Peace Corps volunteers living on the Cape and Islands about the activities in which they are participating throughout the year. All returned volunteers and families are welcome to attend to share their experiences and enjoy the afternoon.
